Stephanie Owens is a new author who began writing children's picture books in order to inspire and excite little ones as they prepared to face life's changes. She wears many hats, but chose to embrace her passions of poetry and children’s fiction stories in order to create a fun and memorable series highlighting the many milestones children will encounter in life. Stephanie has a degree in psychology, and spent the years following school working in a placement home counseling troubled youth. She lives in Los Angeles, California, but was born in the Bay Area and spent her formative years in Maine, where her mother grew up as well. She can usually be found doing crafts around the home and reading an assortment of books from her book club. She loves traveling, cooking never before attempted meals, and otherwise discovering new places to get desserts. Writing a children’s series was always her dream, and with My First Loose Tooth, it became a reality. She is excited to share the newest edition to the series, My First Female President.
